By Ngozi Nwoke

In a bid to start the new year on a good note, Deeper Christian Life Ministry has unveiled its daily devotional guide, ‘Daily Manna’ for all Christians.

The church leadership during the book launch, yesterday, at its headquarters in Gbagada, Lagos, said the intention is for readers to study the book in line with the scriptures as they begin their activities, adding that the purpose is also to reach the unreached members far and wide.

In his remarks, Chairman on the occasion, Taiwo Kupolati, admonished Christians to take advantage of the book which is enriched with heavenly guidelines and principles as they begin the new year.

He said: “It gives me great pleasure to witness this auspicious occasion of the unveiling of Daily Manna, the devotional guide of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry. The biggest component of the rebranded Daily Manna is the development of an exclusive app and a website for the book. This will encourage e-consumption of the daily devotional guide, especially by the youth group.

“I implore everyone, including the global community, to take advantage of this newly inspired Daily Manna by getting copies. I assure you your lives will be enriched with heavenly meals each day of 2023,” he said.

On his part, the keynote speaker, Vice Chancellor, Maranatha University, Lagos, Taiwo Akinyele, said: “It is specially humbling to be called to give the keynote speech at the unveiling of this rebounded daily devotional, authored by no less a personality than the General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, W. F. Kumuyi.

“The positive impact of the publication over the years cannot be overstated. The result is that, today, it has become a household feature of many Christian families who use it daily as a vintage guide for personal and family devotion and fellowship.

“This year’s edition has been strengthened and rebranded with the promise of an even more universal usage by individual and families. As individuals and a nation, we are channelling enormous investments and resources into various projects and programmes aimed at making life and living better.

“However, despite the best efforts, social malaise, discontentment, depression, protests and agitations as well as general frustration are all on the increase. The dream of a beautiful, peaceful, fruitful and fulfilling life now seems like a mirage to many people with each passing day.

“In all of these, politicians who have shown little inclinations or proclivity towards advancing concrete solutions to widespread distress of the people have ingeniously seized the centre stage of national discourse with their very worldly narrative which has been of little help in assuaging the condition of the people. This is the vital significance of the devotional guide as it provides answers to man’s problems in line with God’s infallible mind.”

Also speaking at the event, Chairman, Editorial Board, Segun Babatope, stated the significance of the daily devotional guide on the lives of Christians and the nation.

“The Daily Manna is a spiritual compass that beautifully collates, presents and articulates God’s infallible solutions on various human worries and contentions. It helps individuals and nations to see the one thing missing in quest for fulfilment and social advancement.

“With its unimpeachable trademark of illuminating Bible texts and divinely-guided anecdotes of life, the Daily Manna, as a devotional guide, offers invaluable road map to God’s template for lasting success.

“The book offers a simple-to-follow and refreshing platform to connect with God seamlessly, wisely and most efficiently every day. It enables readers to cultivate an unassailable foundation in God and unbroken funnel into the ever flourishing provisions of Christianity. The book is also bound to become a national devotional here and in other counties,” he said.
