Coalition of Accredited Observers, comprising domestic observer groups accredited to monitor the 2019 general election in Delta, yesterday, insisted that last Saturday’s governorship election in the state was free, fair and credible, and urged all contestants to accept the outcome.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared the incumbent and candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, as winner of the election, a decision rejected by the main opposition party, the All Progressive Congress (APC).

The party alleged that there was electoral malfeasance during the poll.
