Addressing journalists, chairman of the party in the locality Dr David Oghenekevwe condemned the killings, blaming it on the opposition.

Flanked by Paulinus Akpeki, Austin Ayemidejor, Joyce Overa and others, Oghenekevwe said they received the shocking news of the killings of messrs Michael Chibuike and Jeffrey Otevbadje who were shot dead while discharging their civic responsibility.

He said the killing was unacceptable to the people of the area, saying “we therefore condemn it in very strong terms the killings of the party members.”
