Nigeria’s leading entertainment impresario in South Africa, Jaji Abolore recently celebrated his birthday with a big bang that attracted the attention of the global nightlife industry.
The nightclub and bar owner, who clocked another year on January 10, 2022, first announced his birthday via his Instagram account @jajiabolore when he posted: “Happy birthday to me.”
He subsequently posted a lengthy ode on January 11, saying: “Words can’t express how lucky and blessed I am to be surrounded by such lovely family, friends, partners and loved ones. I’m more than grateful for all the love, prayers, wishes and gifts. It’s indeed overwhelming. Thank you for celebrating me. May celebration never cease in your lives.”
Notice posted on his social media accounts, notably Facebook and Instagram, had displayed an invite to all and sundry to his birthday bash. “Please, join me this Friday 14 January for the official birthday celebration @boothsandton & @Room130Bar. Thanks and God bless you all,” the post reads.
The Nigerian entertainment entrepreneur, an alumnus of the University of Ibadan where he bagged BSc Sociology in 2006 “according to his LinkedIn page” is the owner of The Booth Niteclub, comprising of Booth Champagne Bar, Room 130 bar and Booth Liquor Store and a leading nightlife player in the Joburg Metropolitan area of Sandton.
His nightclub had featured international acts across Africa, particularly some of Nigeria’s Afrobeats acts such as Kizz Daniel, Seun Kuti and Mr P of the P-Square fame. Last year, he had similarly thrown a big celebration when his signature The Booth Niteclub turned five years in June 2021.
Abolore was also in the limelight in 2021 following the renewed romance with his love interest Thambo Thabethe, South African actress, TV personality and radio DJ.
The SA glamour girl became the hottest item on the rumour mill following the break-up with her long-term lover and her subsequent love affair with Jaji Abolore.
