The Olubunmi Tunji Support Group has issued a press statement congratulating the lawmaker on the  honorary doctorate degree in Public Administration  recently conferred on him by the Joseph Ayo  Babalola University (JABU).

 

Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, a lawmaker representing Akoko North East and North West, who is also the Chairman of the House Committee on Niger-Delta, would be presented the degree at the 12th convocation of the institution. The governing council  of the institution had stated that its decision to confer the honor on the lawmaker was birthed as a result of his sterling records in the pursuit of good leadership, outstanding integrity and God-fearing nature.

 

The spokesperson for the group, Prince Adetileewa Fafunmilade, through the press statement, while congratulating the lawmaker for the newly added feather, stated: “We have no doubt over the amazing qualities of our amiable lawmaker as he has, over the years, shown that he is a fine gentleman, an astute politician and a thorough bred son of the soil.”

He further explained that the group is not surprised that the governing council of the Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU)  is conferring such a great honor on the Lawmaker as he has proven himself to be a worthy recipient.

According to Prince Adetileewa Fafunmilade, since the lawmaker assumed office, he has been instrumental to many developmental projects that has been carried out in his region such as the donations of cars to the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) and other security outfits in the area to combat the rising cases of insecurity in the area, also the lawmaker gave out to market women in the region start-up capitals to boost their markets among many other numerous projects initiated by the lawmaker.

 

He added that the group are proud and happy to be identified and associated with the lawmaker, one whom they regard as an exemplary figure to them and the larger society.
