Nigerian Disc Jockey, Anih Chineye Jeremiah better known as Unstoppable Dj Nero has mentioned Award-winning American Disc Jockey, Dj Khaled as his role model in a recent interview.
Dj Nero who hails from Nkanu East Local government area of Enugu State but was born and bred in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria; began his disc jockey career under the stage name DJ Jdn and was also a dancer but had to switch into Unstoppable Dj Nero.
However, he became popular as a DJ for hosting street carnivals, an event that involved lyrical rap battles between upcoming acts and underground rappers and also dancing competitions.
In 2018, he released a mixtape titled ‘Best of June’, a compilation of songs that featured several Nigerian artists including Wizkid, Burna Boy, Olamide, Duncan Mighty, Yemi Alaye among others.
While nothing some of the limitations affecting some Nigerian Dj’s, he said “Many Nigerian Dj’s limits themselves to their neighborhood and that’s bad”, he said.
Dj Nero further stated that one of the things he would love to change for good in his industry would be that Dj’s are paid well.
