Last Friday, thousands of people converged at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos for a worship concert regarded as the biggest gospel music event in Africa: The Experience Lagos.
This year’s edition of The Experience showed that there was no stopping the groove with the theme ‘Revealing Jesus’. In attendance were top government officials including former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon (Retd), Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and his wife, Dolapo, and lots of celebrities from the Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
The concert featured soul-stirring mix of ministers who together gave worshippers an incredible reason to look forward to another year. The line-up of both international and indigenous gospel artistes were Don Moen, Frank Edwards, Travis Greene, Tope Alabi, Micah Stampley, Cece Winans, and Donnie Mcclurkin.
Also on the bandstand were Gabriel Eziaschi, Eno Michaels, Chioma Jesus, Nwando, Tim Godfrey, Midnight Crew, Smokey Norful, and Samsong.
Shedding light on the 2016 theme, senior Pastor, House on the Rock, Pastor Paul Adefarasin said: “The purpose of this year’s edition is to further reach the world with the message of the gospel of Christ, in a fashion so simple, yet effective”.
He further emphasized that it is high time Christians stopped sitting in their corners and took centre stage to spread the gospel of Jesus by truly revealing Jesus.
