President of God’s Kingdom Society (GKS), Brother Felix Adedokun, has tasked politicians aspiring for elective positions in the 2023 general elections to be honest and have the fear of God so that God can help them translate their programmes into reality to the benefits of citizens.

He stated this, yesterday, at a press conference at St. Urhobo Square, Warri, Delta State, after the morning session of the celebration of the 2022 Christian Feast of the Tabernacle.

He lamented the sufferings of ordinary Nigerians and how the political class and some church leadership have taken advantage of it to oppress and extort ignorant citizens. He said campaigns for next year’s polls have commenced with politicians making all manner of promises but expressed doubt that they would fulfil them because they lack the fear of God.

“Citizens are no longer happy in Nigeria. And we are praying that God should send someone, be it a man or woman, to come and salvage Nigeria. The message of the church is that those who want to rule should have the fear of God and be honest. Once they do this, you will see that God Almighty will help them. We of the GKS will always preach peace, but do we have peace in the world today? Where true leaders are ruling, you will always have peace,” he said.

Adedokun also tasked citizens on responsible and righteous living as taught by Jesus Christ as a condition to enjoy the kingdom of God where there would be an end to all sufferings and tribulations.

He said the church has invested over N200 million in the construction of the new cathedral used for this year’s celebration given the need to cater for the growth of members from within and outside the country.

The 2022 Christian Feast of the Tabernacles  featured public lectures, women assemblies, music festivals and special Thanksgiving service.
