FOOTBALL fans who intend to be part of the AFCON 2017 qualifier at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna have been warned not to come near the venue with any form of weapon or risk arrest.

In an appeal to the fans yesterday, the Nigeria Football Federation called on spectators to ensure they do not have any weapon of any kind on them.

NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, made the appeal in Abuja as the NFF continued the countdown to the big match.

“We are appealing to our football fans not to come with any item that might be seen as a weapon, because security will be very tight on the day. We also appeal to the fans to co-operate fully with the security agents to make for hitch –free entry into the venue.

“Similarly, we are appealing to the fans to come to the stadium wearing green and white colours. We want the venue proudly adorned in our national colours.”

Meanwhile, officials for Friday’s 2017 in Kaduna were scheduled to arrive in the country today.
