A popular seer and leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Lagos, Primate Elijah Babatunde Ayodele has advised President Muhammadu Buhari not to take Nigerians for granted as a lot was expected of him in delivering the dividends of democracy.

This was just as his spokesman, Mr. Kehinde Balogun revealed that the cleric actually predicted the declaration of President Muhammadu Buhari by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) asthe winner of the February 23 Presidential polls.

This came on the heels of the controversy that certain men of God, who had given predictions on the said poll, misfired by predicting that the People’s Democratic Party’s Alhaji Atiku Abubakar would emerge the winner.

Balogun in a press release made available to newsmen in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday, said Primate Ayodele had about a year ago urged the PDP to ensure that they picked Senator Bukola Saraki , Nigeria Senate President, as the party’s presidential candidate as the divine signals favoured the son of the late Kwara political godfather, Olusola Saraki, to beat President Muhammadu Buhari in the last presidential poll.

The statement reads in part: “In a national daily published a few days to the poll, Primate Ayodele predicted that the boasts of the main opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), notwithstanding, the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), will still win the 2019 Presidential polls in the country.

“Elijah stated that indications emerging from the country’s political scene has not shown that both PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and his campaign boss, Senate President Bukola Saraki are serious with the ambition of their party to take over power from President Muhammadu Buhari come February, 2019.

“Primate Ayodele urged Atiku to align with the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, saying, Atiku could not win with his old glory. “He needs to link up with Saraki glory to win. Atiku and Saraki are still playing. I don’t see any seriousness from them yet.”

Speaking further, Balogun said: “Meanwhile, the PDP produced Atiku Abubakar as it presidential candidate and in response to that development, Primate Ayodele in another interview, also widely published on the dailies, reached out to the PDP, urging the party to up its game in its quest to wrest power from the ruling party.

“The cleric pointedly said that the main opposition party was not really prepared to wrestle power even though the chances that they return to power in the last general polls were bright. The cleric gave a 21-day ultimatum to the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku and his running mate, Mr Peter Obi, to do three things in 21 days if they were determined to win the presidential poll. He said if those things are neglected, President Muhammadu Buhari’s re-election would simply be a walk over.”
