The biggest orphanage home in Africa, Dorian homes sets to celebrate its anniversary in conjunction with the Naval Offices’ Wives Association, NOWA president, Hajiya Nana Aisha Gambo to build a better society for vulnerable children and widows.

 

The unarguably finest orphanage home in Africa is built by the multi-talented Dr. Lola Bayode. The home comprises of 700-bed capacity for children, a modern clinic, a 700-capacity hall for women empowerment, and a skill acquisition center.

 

At the moment, the home has about 55 orphanage children, including a baby that was dumped on the refuse because she has a hole in her heart. Dorian’s home is to build a society with children who will become great influences in the future.

 

However, Dr Bayode is a very passionate human being who always wants to give back to the community and the nation reference to her philanthropical gesture. This delectable Ukraine-trained medical professional singlehandedly fund the orphanage home-building project and it was unveiled on the 14th of October 2021 by Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo.

 

Dorian Homes has a well-equipped library, mini-hall, church, clinic, and the best facility to give vulnerable children comfort.

 

During her chat with our correspondent, the founder, Dr Tolulola Bayode said Dorian Homes is something she’s been building before she lost her brother and she began to realize that even with money, he couldn’t be safe, and even with connection, he died.

 

She further said, ‘’ and then I said to myself, if God has blessed me, why can’t I use this resource to take care of children who do not even have money to feed or talk less of paying hospital bills? I just felt that let me do something big that can be of help to humanity, and help children not to become a menace to society.

 

Meanwhile, the beautiful founder is passionate about assisting children and widows. She is a lover of children who is also kind-hearted. Her focus in building the home is to help her reach out to many of such vulnerable children across Africa. The home is so big and it has a 4,000 capacity Women’s capacity center. With a restaurant and salon.

As a philanthropist, Dr. Bayode is a lover of children and she is always excited to see children happy and laughing. In her chat with our correspondent, she said ‘’ It is a big thing for me whenever I see a child laugh or smile’’

 

However, apart from toughing lives, she is also a trained medical doctor that specializes in the medical equipment business. She also has a company that fabricates high-end bulletproof security doors and pop cement company. She also supplies building materials.

 

Meanwhile, the first-year anniversary of the home is in conjunction with the Naval Officers Wives Association, NOWA, under the sterling leadership of Hajiya Nana Aisha Gambo, who is the wife of the Chief of Naval Staff of the federation.

 

The partnership between the two parties is to harmonize together in supporting widows and less-privilege children. The NOWA is a forum formulated to provide endearing service to humanity, as well as a platform for solving social and societal problems. NOWA has so far provided the opportunity for social interaction that facilitated the promotion of love, harmony and cooperation among Naval Officers’ wives and their families.

Hajiya Nana Aisha Gambo is a business woman, leader, and philanthropist, who has a clear vision to bring comfortable lives to widows and orphans of fallen Naval heroes. Her mission is to deliver drinkable water into households and other essential material to support development. This initiative has always been part of her foray to her administration.

Since assuming office on 27th February 2021, the new president has rekindled the zeal, vigour, dedication and commitment of NOWA members to contribute to development even beyond the borders and confines of the Nigerian Navy formation and barracks.

Her impact in the NOWA has made her stand-out and give her the reputation of fully involved in nation-building when it comes to the aspect of women.

During her interview, she said, over time, some women who have been entrusted with leading roles to manage human and material resources have more often than not proved that given adequate backing, they can perform creditably.

 

Therefore, her administration as the national president of NOWA, is supporting Dorian Homes on 14th December to mark its first anniversary and assisting women and vulnerable children in society.
