DrDrummerd has led the public to believe that being a live photographer is akin to putting together a film, one that includes reputable music and live performance shows by dignified artists.
In a recent interview with DrDrummerd, he expresses how incredible it was to work with Africa’s leading music artist. As a result, he was overjoyed when these artists all asked him to capture the authenticity and moments of their performances.
DrDrummerd recalls the crowd getting excited and a lot of lights on phones lifted, but he made sure to capture those moments. “Burna was always full of energy while performing, so I made sure to record his movement patterns, outfit, and even photos from behind him.” That was one for the record books. “After that, I did about four or five shows with Burna,” he says.
On the other hand, certain songs come on that one may identify with as an anthem, such as “Ye.” When that song comes on, many people recognize it and want to include it in their videos. Fans, on the other hand, would have a lot of flashlights on their phones to capture such moments”.
DrDrummerd believes it is critical to control the emotions of aficionados when songs like that are about to play. He usually stands behind the performer on stage to capture the audience. As such, it depicts a powerful moment when everyone is excited and ready to share it on social media while the artist is taking it in.
DrDrummerd compared how he shoots his show to how he shoots Wizkid’s and Burna Boy. He admitted that it is similar because he shoots a lot of moments, as the artists enjoy capturing fleeting moments Davido, on the other hand, enjoys taking candid photos. He enjoys seeing photos that make him think, “I had no idea I was doing that on stage.” He is astounded by those photographs when he sees them.
DrDrummerd, on the other hand, edits his pictures in such a way that one can genuinely feel the picture because he tends to make it all pop out, such as the colors.
According to DrDrummerd’s statement, one of Davido’s tour hits was the song “Risky” with Popcaan. The public reaction to that song is always extraordinary. “When a new song is released, Davido usually allows the crowd to sing along to certain lyrics” he said.
Drai’s in Las Vegas, shooting Wizkid, was one of DrDrummerd’s most memorable shows. He had always wanted to shoot there, and he had never forgotten his lofty ambitions. He had two shows in Los Angeles following his Vegas appearances. Following those performances, a few of them went to Las Vegas to unwind. As such, Davido was in Vegas at the time, and they met in a hotel.
“I didn’t even know you were here,” David said to him. Attend my performance. “Let’s get it on.”Davido added DrDrummerd, on the other hand, was capable of shooting him as well.
Following that, DrDrummerd, said that shooting two Afrobeats artists was incredible and that he will never forget shooting Davido in New York at the One Africa Music Fest.
Conversely, each shows that DrDrummerd shoots have a specific setup. He revealed that he usually does not use flash when shooting. He prefers low light quality, and when he shoots, he rather give the viewers dark images so that they can experience the show. As a result, he usually shoots with a Sigma lens and stage lighting.
“In terms of lighting, every show has the same setup, so I use that.” I used to go to get a better view of the band’s stage. “Shooting in Chicago was a lot of fun,” he said.
There were probably 5,000 people in attendance, making it a stadium. The lights and setup were the same, but the structure changed everything. “When shooting, lighting is extremely important,” he added.
