The duo of Ahmed Musa and Ogenyi Onazi are poised for showdown against Super Eagles team captain John Obi Mikel in Austria ahead of the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup.
SportingSun scooped that Musa has now joined forces with Onazi in a bid to fight against the team’s skipper leadership style.
Our source revealed that alliances are being formed in camp with Musa declaring his loyalty to the Onazi group.
“It is a pathetic situation but we have to live by it. Musa and Onazi have formed their own group and they avoid anything with those of us loyal to Mikel.
“They (Musa and Ogenyi group) see us as threats in camp, so they prefer to avoid or make you feel you’re not wanted. Such spirit, I believe is not good enough for a World Cup bound team,” the source who pleaded anonymity stated.
On Thursday, SportingSun exclusively reported the Mikel-Onazi clash as it was gathered that both players are not on good terms in camp.
The imbroglio has now cost Nigeria two consecutive loses in their build up to the World Cup.
