ONE more week! That is what Nigerians will have to endure to know who will manage the Super Eagles ahead of the Russia 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
The NFF disclosed this much yesterday in Abuja after its executive committee meeting.
The Amaju Pinnick led board which failed to reach contractual agreement with Frenchman, Paul Le Guen disclosed in a communiqué made available to Daily Sunsport that it has given its technical and development sub-committee a 7-day ultimatum to scout and recommend a new technical adviser for Eagles.
The communique read in part: “Executive Committee instructed the Technical and Development Sub –Committee to, within the next seven (7) days, recommend a candidate for the post of Technical Adviser of the Super Eagles.”
Other major decisions arrived at by the committee include the confirmation of Salisu Yusuf as Chief Coach, placing of assistant coaches on only bonuses and allowances, as well as the appointment of Bitrus Bewarang as the new National Technical Director. He replaces the late Coach Shaibu Amodu.
Imama Amapakabo it was also confirmed will serve as Assistant Coach and Alloy Agu as Goalkeepers’ Trainer while Nduka Ugbade was returned to the U17 National Team as Assistant Coach.
