Adebowale Zainab Titilayo, CEO of Glow Essence Skincare, has explained her predisposition for humanitarian works following the recent video on social media showing her distributing loaves of bread from the boot and back seat of her car to a large crowd on the street. Many who watched the video deduced that the act of charity was carried out in the spirit of the Eid al-Adha festival.

However, Adebowale Zainab Titilayo, who is flying high with her four-year-old cosmetic company, Glow Essence Skincare, debunked such reasoning saying that her philanthropy is for all seasons, not for a particular season.

Providing a backdrop to the video, she said: “I do this almost every Friday especially, during the month of Ramadan as Sadaqa (voluntary giving). I try to provide for the needy, mainly their most immediate need which is feeding.”

Continuing, she said: “As a Muslim I believe in Zakat, the obligatory giving to the needy that is one of the five pillars of Islam.”
