The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr Godwin Obaseki, has assured the people of the state of better life if elected governor.
He gave the assurance during APC Ward campaign at Erediauwa street, Ugbekun community in Ikpoba-Okha local government area.
Obaseki assured the people of the state that though times in Nigeria seem to be tough, life will be better when the APC continues its developmental strides across the state.
He however took a swipe at the PDP for alleging that his plan to create 200, 000 jobs was not feasible, saying that the bulk of the jobs would be generated from agriculture. He added that youths will be taught extensive farming of rice and other products to put an end to the import of the product.
The APC candidates urged the people not to be deceived by the PDP which didn’t construct roads or build schools, saying the APC should be trusted for providing basic and social amenities for the people.
“We have started it and we will continue to build roads across the state. We will build a road that will connect this area down to Ikpoba Hill.
“You should trust us because we have started it in the last seven and half years. We know there are still more schools to be built; we will build them, put chairs and then train our teachers who will teach our children so that when they leave school, they would know what to do”.
He added: “We would not only focus on schools or roads, we will also focus on human empowerment and train our youths to be self dependent.
“We told you that we would create 200, 000 jobs but they said we are deceiving you, did they construct any road, did they build schools, my people tell me who is deceiving who. The jobs we would create a lot of them are going to be from agriculture. We are going to start our own rice cultivation so that we will stop importing rice.
“My people, work is coming, even though things are hard now, it is temporary, things will be better. So, come September 10, go to your polling unit and vote the APC and our lives will be better”, Obaseki said.
In his speech, Governor Adams Oshiomhole, urged the people to vote the APC candidate as the PDP crippled the state.
“Tell me the government you worked in and I will tell you who you are”, he said
