The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) was, last Wednesday, decorated as the best parastatal in service delivery in Nigeria in 2022 by Servicom, while the Executive Chairman of the Commission, Abdulrasheed Bawa, was equally honoured as the second Best Chief Executive for his commitment to improved services and customer-focused service delivery.

The honours were the highlights of this year’s recognition for ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) that distinguished themselves in terms of meeting performance expectations in the areas of efficient and effective service delivery.

The awards were presented to the Commission at a modest ceremony at the FCDA Engineering Building, Garki, Abuja.

National Coordinator Servicom, Nnenna Akajemeji, extolled the reforms initiated in the EFCC by the Abdulrasheed Bawa-led administration which transformed the agency in terms of commitment to provision of prompt and efficient service to the public.

Upon his appointment as EFCC chairman nearly two years ago, Bawa commenced the reform of the Commission’s processes and procedures, culminating in the adoption of new standard operating procedures for all departments and units and various policy documents to regulate the conduct of personnel.

This is in addition to several staff-focused policies and programmes that have improved the motivation of staff for improved performance.
