Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa State and Speaker of the state’s House of Assembly, Hon. Balarabe Abdullahi, have congratulated Muslim faithful across the globe on the successful completion of the month- long Ramadan fast.

According to a statement made available to our correspondent, on Thursday, in Lafia, and personally signed by Governor Al-Makura, he warned against any acts capable of breaching the existing peace prevailing in the state.

He said that government would deal decisively with any individual or group whose stock-in-trade is to perpetuate crime, criminality and fan embers of disunity among the diverse ethnic nationalities in the state.

Similarly, Hon. Abdullahi urged religious leaders to continue to preach the message of peace, unity and tolerance among Nigerians.

Lafia, the Speaker congratulated Muslims on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast while urging them to use the lesson learnt to show love for Muslims and non-Muslims for peace and progress of the country.
