POPULAR OAP, Yaw (Steve Onu), will be on parade today, May 29, as the eight edition of his annual comedy show, Yaw Live, holds at Eko Hotels & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos. This year’s edition is tagged Salanga.
Speaking with Entertainer, Yaw disclosed that although the stage play, ‘Salanga’, was written by actor, Femi Branch, the main reason why the play was named Salanga was due to the economic situation of the country.
Yaw said: “Salanga as we all know means pit latrine. The idea is to depict the fact that Nigeria is a country where everybody from any part of the country or continent can come and deposit all sorts of rubbish on our beloved country and we accommodate all the mess being deposited on us. The main problem is, who will help save Nigeria from all of these mess. We shall be performing Salanga on stage”
Also expected to thrill are Phyno, Lil Kesh, Adekunle Gold, Immaculate, Burna Boy, Koker, SolidStar, Ycee, Reminisce, Tjan, Vintage Band, CDQ, Splash, Reekado Banks, Naomi Mac and Korede Bello.
