     Former Governor of Borno State,Senator Kashim Ibrahim Shattima has inspired Nigeria youths to continue their agitation and vocal for better nation through hard work ,honesty and not minding side attractions.
  Shattima stated this in Birnin Kebbi on Sunday while presenting a lecture at the first National Youth day,organised by the League of Kebbi Progressive Groups, entitled; ” youth development and membership: the role of northern elites”.
     Senator Shattima,who currently representing Borno Central Senatorial district at the Senate, expressed satisfaction over successful picking his successor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum as the Governor of Borno state, stressed that , ” I have no regret over that Professor Zulum is my successor”.
   While going down on memorial lane,Shattima, said youths in Nigeria had contributed to the nation’s independent, advent of democracy stressed that the future of the country are in the hands of the Nigeria’s youths.
  According to him, “I will urge you to be vocal,committed ,don’t mind various names they might be calling you. They can even call you coronovirus generation. The Prime Minister of New Zealand,France are youths. Don’t be deter, sooner or later, we shall pave way for you and you will become nation’s leader”.
  The immediate past Governor of Borno state who condemned the destruction of public and private properties by hoodlums who hijacked the peaceful protest of EndSARS, said, Nigeria youths must not allowed enemies of the nation to derail them.
   Speaking on the challenges bedevil Northern region of Nigeria, Shattima noted due to ongoing insecurity in the areas, the region are now poorest than Niger republic with highest mortality rate, poverty and high number of out of school children.
  The former Senator foreseen that by 2050 Nigeria will be one of the most populous nation in the world ,stressed that if urgent steps was not taken to address the challenges, poverty level across the nation would be worsen.
    In his address,the Senate Leader, Dr. Yahaya Abdullahi, noted that Nigeria must identified what wrong with her economy, polity in order to heal the nation’s challenges and out it on the pedestal for development and prosperity”
  While speaking on the EndSARS protest,Senator Abdullahi noted that, the country must not be destroyed so that,the youths would have a nation to govern in future.
   “The present crop of leaders were also largely youths who struggled against military rule which they were able to overcome in 1999. This gave birth to the current democratic dispensation that is facing the challenges of the times today.
  ” Similarly today’s #EndSARS protesters are youths who inspire to lead tomorrow. In other words,you can protest against oppression and injustice today, but you must be prepared to lead tomorrow. If you destroy your country in the process of protesting you will have nothing to aspire to. Nation building is not an event, but a process”, he said.
   Kebbi State Governor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu in his remark eulogized Senator Shattima for his contributions to the development of Borno state and pains he went through to successfully picked his successor, Professor Zulum.
