Former Lagos State Governor and National leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has described the recent looting and burning of property in the state as an handshake beyond elbow.

Tinubu, who visited Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, yesterday, at the State House Annex, Marina alongside his son, Seyi Tinubu for solidarity over the crisis that rocked the state following the shooting of #EndSARS protesters at the Lekki Toll Gate, mocked those spreading fake news about him and his family.

Addressing journalists after his meeting with the governor, Tinubu declared: “I still remains Asiwaju of Lagos and Jagaban”.

This is even as he denied the widely circulated report that he had left the country for France at the heat of the crisis.

Tinubu also debunked the rumoured abduction of his son, Seyi, saying he was neither kidnapped nor forced to pay ransom to secure his freedom.

He told newsmen that the purpose of his meeting with Sanwo-Olu was to ask him if he had ordered soldiers to attack #EndSARS protesters at the Lekki toll gate on Tuesday.

The former Lagos governor said he asked Sanwo-Olu “if he didn’t order the attack, who ordered the attack? That’s all I needed from him.”

Tinubu has been under fire over the Lekki incident, culminating in the burning down of some investments believed to be owned by him, including a Television Continental (TVC), The Nation Newspaper, Orientals Hotel as well as assets of the Lekki Concession Company, the managers of the toll gate. Tinubu stressed the need for a thorough investigation into Tuesday’s night attack.

His words: “First, we have to segregate the calendar, those who suffered casualty before the protests from the hands of SARS. You have to separate that from those who suffered casualty due to what happened at the toll gate.

“For those who suffered casualty from SARS, I think the Commission of Inquiry that is already set up will unearth that and will make their recommendations. I trust the calibre and the character of the people there. They are independent. That is one.

“Those who suffered casualty during the gunshots need to answer some questions too. Even though we want to help, we still must extract information that will help the government to prepare in future and understand how and when to react because the governor, in particular, is a youth.”

“As a youth himself, he (Sanwo-Olu) quickly went to Abuja with the 5/5. The government immediately put into action, dissolved the SARS and had to work through other recommended actions on their demands. Within a few days, he reported back to the public. That is responsive enough.

“But where are we getting the looting, the carnage, the burning, the invasion of police stations, stealing of arms, maiming of the innocent? It is a handshake beyond the elbow.”

Asked about his whereabouts in the past few days, Tinubu said, “I didn’t go nowhere. I’m a Lagosian and I still hold the title of Asiwaju of Lagos and I am still a Jagaban.

“Fake news is all over the place. They said Seyi, my son, was kidnapped and was chased. But look at him, I didn’t pay a penny to bring him here.”

  1. DR Uche Kalu says:

That the wannabe next President of Nigeria,Mallam Bola Ibn Tinubu, is more
concerned about the involvement of his godson , Governor Badajide Sanwo
-Olu of Lagos State and the lootings and destructions of property than over
the massacre of our unarmed Millnnelials at Lekki Tollgate, is a damning
indictment agaist his absolute claim to Yoruba Political Leadeship.
Charity does indeed begin at home.
The victims of Lekki Tollgate masscre were mostly Yorubas and the
perpetrators were Mallam Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s Hauas/Fulani allies.
A couple of years ago, somebody did raise an allarm about the Lekki Tollagte
being exclusively manned by the Hausa/Fulani muslims.
Well informed Nigerians can jolly well reminisce on Mallam Ahmed Bola
    Tinubu’s reactions to the followings incidents;
1.The Boko Haram attacks on the late Emir Ado Bajero’s convoy and
against Christian worshipers in one of the auditoria of Bajero College.
The Boko Haram Jihadists did carry out the dual attacks because it is a
sacrilage (Haram) that the Emir allowed Christians to worship in an Institution
that graces his name and forbade a Christian place of worship within its
    environ.
Mallam Ahmed Bola Tinubu did then travel to Kano in oder to commiserate
with the Emir only to publicly enthuse, that his APC Party has no issues with
the Jihadist Killer Squads, aka Boko Haram.
Mallam Ahamed Bola Tinubu, wasted not a single word about the 13 innocent
Christian worshipers murdered in cold blood by his muslim holy warriors, the
    Boko Haram.
    Amongst the innocent victims,were two prominent Yoruba Professors;
Prof. Jerome Ayodele and Prof. Andrew Leo Ogbonyomi and 13 others worshipers
mostly, Qua Igbos and Yoruabs Christians.
    2. Mrs. Funke Olakunrin, the daughter of Pa Reuben Fasoranti of Afinefere
was killed at Kajola Village along Ore-Benin Expressway ,Adigbo LGA,Ondo State
on Friday 12th July 202O, as reported by Western Nigeria Security Network.
Mallam Ahmed Bola Tinubu did rush to Ondo State but not to Commiserate with
Pa Rueben Fasoranti over the killing of his dear daughter.
Mallam Tinubu went there to exonerate his barbaric ,bellicose and murderous
    alien Fulani Jihadists.
In his wicked insinuation,Mallam Ahmed Tinubu pointed his filthy fingers at the
direction of a notorious Igbo kidnapper, Evans and his group as the perpetrator of
that senseless killing, because the killer herders were not with their cows.
As it later turned out,the killers were indeed Fulani Herder as originally reporte by
the Police and some eye witnesses.
Somebody out there should inform Mallam Ahmed Bola Tinubu that we Biafrans
do see an Igbo Presidency as a Greek gift aimed at perpetuating the current Hausa/Fulani Islamic Hegemony.
No! An Igbo Presidency will be tantamount to putting a new wine into a putrefied
    old wine bottle.
The Chief’s ,OBJ’s Presidency brought absolutely nothing to our Kwa /Yoruba
cousins because OBJ did run an inclusive Government.
So also was Dr. Goodluck Ebele Azikwe Jonathan’s Presidency, which was virtually
    an Igbo cum Hausa/Fulani Presidency.
As a matter of fact,we the die-hard Biafrans will certainly pipe down with our
agitataions for our separate, Sovereign Christian Republic of Biafra, if the country
is restructured into 6 semi-Autonomous Republics with of course a 100% fiscal
    federalism.
Without that, our message remains;”Si vis pacem para bellum!”.
No to the status quo ante bellum!
    Down with Hausa/Fulani Islamic hegemopny!!
All Hail Biafra, our God’s Own Land of the Rising Sun!!!
