… As Wenger seeks revenge at Anfield

By Paul Erewuba

The English Premier League is heading for the wire with few matches to fight for. With 26 league games already played, the top four seem to be emerging.

Chelsea leads the pack with 63 points as against their chasers Tottenham who have 53 points. Manchester City who are third on the log will take on Sunderland, while Arsenal are fourth with 50 points and Liverpool trailing behind them with 49 points.

Indeed, the high point match this weekend is the encounter between Liverpool and Arsenal.

This match is special to fans of both clubs because it will definitely change the order of roll calls as the weeks progress.

No doubt, Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal will face a real test of the top four credentials today as they take on their Premier League rivals Liverpool at Anfield.

Premier League watchers are of the opinion that the Gunners’ hopes of winning the EPL title are over for another season.

They are of the view that Arsenal’s hope at giving a trial to the title could only be achieved if there is a spectacular collapse by Chelsea.
