Governorship candidate of Young Progressive Congress (YPP) in Abia State, Enyinnaya Nwafor has said the era imposition in Abia politics was over.

Nwafor who stated this at the palace of Eze Uwakwe Ukaegbu of Igbere in Bende Local Government Area while being conferred with a Chieftaincy title, said Abia would breathe new air of governance if he emerged as governor.

He described his visit to Igbere as a friendly familiarization and harbinger of good things for Abians from 2023 and beyond.

While canvassing for support of all Abians towards the realisation of his ambition, the YPP candidate promised to reward the trust and support of Abians if he becomes governor.

Nwafor gave insight on chose Chima Anyaso as his running mate, “My choice of Chima Anyaso is based on his idealogy. Power belongs to God. I have come to restore the dignity of man.”

Hon Chima Anyaso while speaking, promised to spread YPP in all parts of Abia North, noting, “We made PDP, we will also make YPP, in Abia North and every part of Abia State.”

He pointed out that YPP would enthrone good governance in Abia if it comes to power next year.

The governorship candidate and his running mate were later blessed by royal fathers from Igbere.

Eze Uwakwe while blessing the YPP governorship candidate and his running mate, charged them to change the story of Abia State for the best, if elected in 2023.

Eze Ukaegbu who described Nwafor and Anyaso as youthful candidates who could transform Abia State, if elected, urged them not to disappoint the people.

Describing Nwafor as a friend of Igbere kingdom, the traditional ruler advised the governorship hopeful to see every part of Abia as his constituency in leadership and development.
