Nigeria Navy Ship, NNS Wey, set the Christmas ball rolling with a Tombola Night on Friday, December 1, which was put together by the leadership of NNS Wey, led by Commodore Patrick Yekwe.

Speaking, Commander NSS Wey, Commodore Yekwe told Daily Sun that the Tombola was one of the many programmes designed for officers and civilians within the environs of Navy Barracks, Ojo, to interact in order to foster cordial relations and security.

“This Tombola is our way of interacting with our immediate community in order to create a cordial atmosphere while emphasizing  the need to be security conscious at all times. We decided to get the Christmas season started on a good note and for those who won different prizes, they are fulfilled are ready for the yuletide.”

The Executive Officer, NNS Wey, Captain Epelle on his part expressed joy that the Tombola Night was a success. The star attraction of the night was comedian, MC Danfo and the Elastic Dancers who thrilled guests.

The event witnessed residents of Navy Town and its environs smiling home with goodies including a live cow, bags of rice, live chickens, gallons of groundnut oil and plasma TV sets among others.
