An expert in brick blocks moulding has advocated that Nigeria should take science and technology seriously in its quest to lessen dependence on foreign materials in the country.

Mr. Olawole Augustine, an industrial blocks moulder said that if successive governments in Nigeria have taken science and technology and what could come therefrom seriously, the country would have been self reliant in certain goods we import from abroad.

Augustine noted that the economic landscape of the world is undergoing remarkable changes, which is creating considerable opportunities and new challenges through science and technology. 

He said that as a nation we have all it takes to enter into this arena of the global community dominated by a deluge of innovations in science and technology. “Obviously, considering the rich human and material resources of the nation, what we need to keep at par with the international community is to set our priority right, by recognizing the place of science and technology and its integration in our national life.
