To enable Nigerians stay healthy and active, a pharmaceutical firm, Sterling Biopharma Limited, has launched a product called Fejeron Blood Tonic to support the country’s about 66.8 per cent economically active population.

The company said it was more delighted with the fact that the product was made in Nigeria and by Nigerians, thereby creating direct and indirect employment opportunities for the population.

According to the chief operating officer, Sterling Biopharma Limited, Mr. Adebayo Adepoju, the nature of stress and fatigue that Nigerians encounter on a daily basis requires that their physical and mental wellbeing is well supported to function at its best. He explained that was why the blood tonic was uniquely formulated for everyone, regardless of age or gender.

He stated that an average Nigerian was inspirational and in need of sufficient blood to serve as an enhancer and source of courage to accomplish his or her set goals.

“At Sterling Biopharma, we believe that everyone deserves to be able to buy simple prescription drugs without breaking the bank. This is why, from the moment we entered the Nigerian market, and with our wide range of products, we have made our intentions clear and that is to make quality pharmaceutical products affordable for all Nigerians.

“So, Fejeron Blood Tonic is the latest proof of our commitment to this mission. Despite its premium quality, Fejeron, at the moment, is one of the most affordable blood tonics you will find in the Nigerian pharma market, and this is deliberate. All Nigerians should be able to take care of themselves,” he said.

Adepoju said the heart needs the blood to pump and warned that there could be cardiac arrest in the process when the needed blood is not available.

“The blood is like putting oil in the engine of a vehicle. In fact, if it is lower than it should be, there would be weakness. And this is why you see people collapsing on the road or in the car,” he said.

He identified some natural ways of maintaining blood in the body as consumption of fruits and vegetables, but he quickly warned that many of them are grown with different chemicals, making people to lose the natural benefits.

“There are cheaper and safer ways of getting the same blood, that is why Fejeron was launched. We encourage people to eat their fruits but when you need to top it up or those who can’t afford fruits in the market, Fejeron comes in.
