Following the demise of Imo former Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Engr. Ebere Udeagu, who died at the age of 79 years old, Eze-Igbo Ghana, His Royal Majesty, Eze Dr. Amb. Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu (Ohazurume of Ghana, Global Peace Ambassador); has joined the family member families, friends, political associates, good people of Okigwe zone, well meaning Imo leaders and the rest of Nigerians to register his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
Eze Ihenetu, the Assistant Publicity Secretary of Ndieze Ndigbo in Diaspora, saluted the leadership tenacity of the late former Deputy Governor, Udeagu, who worked hand in glove with his principal, Governor Achike Udenwa, like brothers rather than as politicians ensuring smooth and seamless operations of governance under their watch in Imo State.
In a statement issued from the revered Obi Ukwu, Obi Eziokwu, Obi Ndigbo in Ghana by the respected Igbo Monarch in Diaspora, the Umuduruoha Amaigbo, Nwangele – Imo State born traditional ruler, Ihenetu, described the late former Deputy Governor, late Engr. Ebere Udeagu, popularly known as Chinemeze as an elder statesman and peaceful political leader who ensured implementation of good policies, programs and projects of the Achike Udenwa led Administration between 1999 – 2007.
While making some reference from the official Facebook handle of an Imo born global news reporter and social commentator; the publisher of 4th Estate Reporters, Njoku Macdonald Obinna, His Royal Majesty, Eze Dr. Amb. Chukwudi Ihenetu maintained that the late former Deputy Governor, Udeagu, during his days demonstrated uncommon leadership tenacity by playing huge supportive roles to the Achike Udenwa led Administration and never allowed his personal ambition to conflict with the decisions of his principal.
The former Imo Deputy Governor, Udeagu, between 1999 to 2007, was also a former vice presidential candidate for the All Nigeria People’s Party (ANPP), assisted Chief Achike Udenwa in his official duties as governor.
The late Ebere Udeagu was an educated Water Engineer from Ihube in the Okigwe Local Government Area of Imo State, passed away in the early hours of Monday in Owerri.
Asking for divine mercies on his gentle soul and peaceful repose; Eze Ihenetu however, prayed God to give the bereaved family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
