The Eze Ndi Igbo Ghana, HRM Eze Dr  Chukwudi Ihenetu has felicitated with people of Ghana over a peaceful election that saw the incumbent  President, Mr Nana Akufo-Ado emerging winner and returning as president for second term.

In a statement made available to Daily Sun, the royal father said the peaceful conduct of the election is evidence that God listened to prayers.

While commending Ghanaian electoral body for releasing the results on time, Eze Ihenetu said this is an indication that democracy   in Africa os growing.

While congratulating President Akufo-Ado on his victory at the election, Eze Ihenetu urges him to be magnanimous in victory by reaching out to the opposition. He said as a winner in the poll, he has become father to all Ghanaian citizens.

In the same vein, the royal father appealed to those who may have lost out to take the result in good faith and see the outcome of the election as victory for Ghanaian people.

While also commending Igbo community for their conduct in the country which saw them maintaining neutrality throughout the election, he appealed to them to continue to obey the laws of the land.
Furthermore, Eze Ihenetu also thanked other Ghanaian traditional rulers who used their positions to canvass for peace before and after the election.

On the implications of a peaceful poll in Ghana on the West Africa Sub region, the royal father who is also Peace Ambassador said, it would promote security and economic prosperity in the region. He said with election over and a winner emerged, the Ghanaian government can now focus on giving the people good governance.
