The Eze Ndigbo Ghana and Assistant Publicity Secretary Association of Ndieze Ndigbo in the Diaspora, HRM Eze Chukwudi Ihenetu has congratulated the new National Publicity Secretary Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Hon Chiedozie Alex Ogbonnia (Ozowaluona). Untill his recent appointment, Ogbonnia has served as Personal. Assistant to Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu, as well as one time chapter president, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Enugu state.
In a statement, the royal father who has won several awards as peace ambassador in Ghana and at home in Nigeria, described Hon Ogbonnia as a God-fearing person who at one time or the other served Ndigbo in different positions of responsibility.
HRM Ihenetu recalled that Hon Ogbonnia was part of peace delegation sent by immidiate past president general of Ohanaeze worldwide, Chief Nnnia Nwodo to restore peace among Ndigbo when they had misunderstanding in Ghana.
In his words, HRM Ihenetu said: “On arrival in Ghana, Hon Chidozie was unbiased in his findings. His path to justice led to quick resolution of the crisis”
On what the Ohanaeze Publicity scribe should do, HRM Ihenetu urges him to hit the ground running by coming out with information that will help unite Ndigbo at home and in the Diaspora.
He said with insecurity plaguing the South East, the people in the region look up to the national publicity secretary to enlighten them about steps being taking by the apex Igbo Socio cultural group to find solutions to the insecurity issue.
On why he has confidence in Ogbonnia, HRM Ihenetu said his track records speaks for him as a honest man.
