Liverpool’s new-boy Fabinho popped to Sainsbury’s with wife Rebeca Tavares on Saturday afternoon as he prepares for his first Reds training session.

Jurgen Klopp will lead his first pre-season run-out on Monday morning, with the Brazilian eager to get off to a flying start.

The £44million signing from Monaco was not named in Brazil’s World Cup squad despite another strong season in Ligue 1.

Nevertheless, Klopp moved swiftly to bolster his midfield with Emre Can on his way out to join Juventus.

The German boss signed Fabinho days after the gut-wrenching Champions League final defeat at the hands of Real Madrid.

While Klopp continues to add to his shopping list, Fabinho was putting the final touches on his own as he hit the local supermarket with his other half at the weekend.

While his fellow countrymen were off enjoying their World Cup campaign in Russia, Fabinho instead opted for a whistle-stop holiday in New York.

Last month, the midfield star and wife Rebeca took in the NYC sights, including the Statue of Liberty… and the local pizzeria.

Fabinho will now prepare for his Liverpool debut ahead of a packed pre-season schedule with upcoming games against Chester, Tranmere, Bury and Blackburn before they fly out to the US.
