Have you ever given it a thought that you have never seen a fake N55.00 currency note. The simple reason is that there is no original N55.00 currency note. This means that the mere presence of a fake thing confirms the existence of an original. Unfortunately, the fake is able to deceive because it looks so much like the original. A lot of people are discouraged in today’s world because of the preponderance of fake Prophets, Pastors and Men of God. Some have backslid from the faith, while some have stopped attending church completely. Yet the existence of the fake ought to affirm the existence of the original and consequently one’s faith in God rather than discourage one. The challenge then for an ardent seeker of God is to distinguish between the real and the fake.
Let us recall that Jesus came to earth by the will of the Almighty God to deliver us from sin and guarantee us eternal life if we believe in him. The Bible says in John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”. Having come to the earth and fulfilled his mission by being crucified on the cross of Calvary and dying for our sins, he rose from the grave on the third day and ascended unto heaven after showing himself to his disciples and other witnesses for about 40 days. In order to continue the preaching of the gospel of salvation on earth in his absence, he sent to his disciples, the comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, on the day of Pentecost, who will teach them all things and bring all things to their remembrance that he has taught them. The Holy Ghost also empowered the disciples to do miracles in the name of Jesus and as his name implies, the power can only be exercised on the foundation of holiness. Holiness is obedience to the word of God.
To lead the disciplines in this mission of propagating the gospel and performing miracles, Jesus created the five fold ministries and filled them with the anointing for this purpose. Jesus said in Ephesians 4:8 that when he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. In 4:11, 12, he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.
While on earth with his disciples, however, Jesus warned them to take heed that no man deceive them because many shall come in his name, saying, I am Christ; and many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. He admonished all to beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. This simply means that even the Devil manifests as an angel of light. How then can we know them?. The problem with Christians is that they are lured away by outward appearance, miracles and charisma of these fake prophets but Jesus revealed that it is by their fruits ye shall know them.
At the early stages of the church, devil started with persecuting the church. He found out that the more he persecuted the church, the more the church grew as the disciples carried the gospel to wherever they scattered and went. Seeing that the strategy of persecution is not working, the devil went to the shop and bought King James version of the Holy Bible and headed to the church. The new strategy was to compromise the church, neutralize it and enslave it. It wasn’t long before the devil started recruiting his own servants to take over the church.
The evil fruits manifested by these servants of the devil are many but the commonest ones lie in the 4fs – fornication, finance, fame and false doctrine. The fastest way through which the devil pollutes the church is through fornication and adultery. This is because this involves blood covenants. When a man sleeps with a woman, they exchange blood. When the servants of the devil go through initiation through donation of blood, they sell their souls to the devil in exchange for wealth and power which they exhibit to deceive people. Fornication is used as an object of worship to the Queen of the Coast, a major first officer of the devil. Having been initiated, they lure their members to fornication and adultery as a way of stealing their destinies, worshipping and selling their souls to the devil.
The Bible described the Queen of the Coast in Revelation as a ‘Mystery, Babylon the Great, the Mother of Harlots and Abominations of the Earth’ with whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth made drunk with the wine of her fornication. The Bible warned that through these abominations the woman will be drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. According to the word of God, she lures the people with the abundance of her merchandise which include: the merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble, and cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men. Yes, souls of men. The whole idea is to lead the followers of the devil to hell.
This is where the false doctrine of prosperity without salvation emanated from. This is where the fake miracles channelled towards fame came from. Their end is destruction
The beauty of Pentecostal system of worship lies in the freedom of the worshippers to change their denomination without attracting the wrath of God. The Bible says that where the spirit of God is, there is absolute liberty. Any denomination that insists that you remain in it no matter the behaviour and fruits of the leaders of the church is satanic. Church is complete where two or three are gathered in the name of Jesus because He is in their midst. Any Pastor, Prophet, Apostle, Teacher or Evangelist who continually engage in sexual activities with his/her members, performs fake miracles, preaches false doctrines of prosperity without salvation is a cheap fake man or woman of God and every member of such denomination should leave the denomination immediately for another one where the leaders of the denomination manifests the fruits of God, the greatest which is Christ in us the hope of our glory, who was declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead. Yes, according to the spirit of holiness.
Jesus warned the congregants that not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven, but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you, depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
