The family of Mr. Edward Ekecareah who died as a result of stabbing by a man identified as Godspower, a suspected member of OSPAC, a local vigilance group, in Chococho community, in Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State, has demanded for justice.

The incident occurred last week Tuesday, following a disagreement between the victim and a woman that engaged him (Edward) in a menial job.

Daugther of the deceased, Joy Edward, on Wednesday, disclosed that they were also in need of
help because they had lost their breadwinner.

Joy lamented: “My dad worked for a particular woman last week Saturday. So, the woman told him that she had just half of the money which was N6,500. The work is supposed to be N12,000.

“The woman gave him N6,500 remaining N5,500. And the woman told him that she would give you the balance on Sunday.

“My Dad called the woman on Sunday she did not pick. He called her on Monday, she did not pick. So, when he came back from work on Tuesday, he decided to go to the woman’s place to demand the money, since she was not picking his calls.

“When my father got there, he met the woman and told her he came to collect his money. The woman told him it was not yet month end; that when it’s month end, he should come and collect the money. That she does not have money now.”
