The award was conferred on the financial institution on Tuesday by the Chairman/Publisher of the newspaper, Dennis Sami, at the bank’s head office in Lagos.

Sami, however, said the leadership forum for the award of Nigerian Pilot Newspaper has been in existence for the past eight years. The award was received on behalf of the Managing Director of Heritage Bank, Ifie Sekibo, by the Executive Director, Service Banks, Niyi Adeseun, and the team from the Corporate Communications Department.
Adeseun on receiving the award, said the bank was delighted for being considered as one of the fastest growing banks, which had distinguished itself on the retail space as a bank.
He said the future of the bank was bright with a balance sheet size of about N600 billion and over 165 branches across 34 states of the federation.
Adeseun hinted that the bank is on course to attaining the statues of a Systemic Important Bank (SIB), as this would enable Heritage Bank to list on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) in the next three years.
