Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Water Resources, Dr. Musa Ibrahim, made the disclosure at the 37th Ordinary Session Meeting of the Technical Committee of Experts yesterday, in Abuja.

Adamu said it would not be review alone, but, “adoption of the report of external auditors for the year 2015-2016 and 2017; review and adoption of the 2018 2020 OPB budget (2018-2020 OPB); review (AWPB); Objective-based programme and adoption of OPB 2019-2021 Annual Work Plan Budget.’

He added that the committee members will also “review and adopt the 2019 AWPB review and adoption of 2019 Budget for Council of Ministers of the Basin.”

On his part, National Coordinator of NBA, Engr Gerald O. Osuagwu, assured that the dialogue will be fruitful and devoid of sentiments, because it would set the stage for the Council of Ministers to deliberate on the way forward, to meet the needs of over 130 million people living at the basin.

He said: “As experts, we are expected to take critical review of all the issues that will be presented to us in this meeting in the interest of the NBA, without any bias or undue sentiments, and make appropriate recommendations to the Council of Ministers when they meet on Friday 19th October, 2018,’ he said.
