The Federal Inland Revenue Services (FIRS) has sealed the headquarters of Intels Services in Onne, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Daily Sun gathered that FIRS, on Monday, placed a seal on the property asking the company to pay unremitted taxes.

The seal off came barely a week after the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), cancelled its contract with Intels.

NPA was said to have cancelled Intels contract based on advice by the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).

Also, the Intels was said to have faced another trouble from the Nigeria Free Zone Authority, accusing the oil services company of operating illegally, within the zone .

FIRS’ action, it was gathered, heightened fear among expatriate working in the company because of the suspicion that FIRS might have acted against Intels based on the letter from the Nigeria Free Zone Authority .

Though, officials of FIRS in Port Harcourt could not be reached for reaction, a source at Intels, Onne , said Intels still carries other operations, excluding cargo handling at the seaport.
