Having made a name for himself as an actor and a model in the Malaysian entertainment industry, Igbokwe Chika Johnson took to the fitness sphere where he is recording appreciable success and has become a celebrity of sorts. His Instagram page @cjfitnessmodel is replete with sumptuous pictures of him showing off his rippling muscles.
In a recent interview Igbokwe Chika Johnson revealed some secrets on what it takes achieve healthy and fit body, asserting that it is not a journey with destination.
“Fitness is a lifetime journey, it’s not something you do and stop. You have love and enjoy the process as well. Nobody can wish for it, you just have to create time and put in the work. The programs all depend on individual fitness goals, so each program is designed according to clients,” he said when asked to prescribe fitness programmes for people.
“First, good health is wealth, and living a healthy lifestyle is very important. I was very skinny growing up. I remember when my friends used to call me names and make fun of me. When I was introduced to the gym by a friend, I never looked back or stopped and it has helped my career as a model and actor. An actor needs to stay fit but then it applies to everyone.”
“The pain is real but the feeling after is priceless, fitness is about the mind, passion before the hard work and dedication. In my years of training and living a healthy lifestyle, it has been able to motivate and encourage those around me and help them achieve their fitness goals. Getting messages from people all over, sharing their stories about how I have pushed them even without knowing it is priceless,” he added.
Igbokwe Chika Johnson began his journey as an actor and a model in 2011. He started with television commercials before delving into the Malaysian movie industry as actor. He did Reebok Cross Fit , Mentos, Caltex television commercials in 2016. He also featured in a Tamil movie “Singam 3” in 2016.
By 2017 he had grown in prominence and thus was recognised for his talent and more jobs came his way. He did Petronas commercial, The Flutter commercial in Indonesia and did many clothing prints photo shoots too.
In 2018 he did commercials for Harpic, Wonda Coffee and others. From early 2016 his acting career really took a flight having built a reputation as a top model in the country’s entertainment industry.
By early 2019 he featured in two movies, namely; The Confidence man (Japanese) and Sangkar (Malaysia).
Igbokwe Chika Johnson hails from Aguata local government area of Anambra State but he was born in Benin city Nigeria and grew up in Asaba, Delta State.
