The Oluwaseun Basil Alabi (OBA) Foundation, has distributed food to the residents of Ikire and Apomu in Osun State through its food bank scheme.

According to the foundation, the step was taken in response to the widespread hardship and pervasive hunger in the country.

The foundation’s secretary, Mr. Gboyega Bakare, noted that OBA was established in December 2021, and had since then been actively distributing aid packages to over 22,000 people in Ikire and their neighboring communities.

He explained that the founder’s intention to give back to the community necessitated the founding of the foundation.

“On December 27, 2021, the Oluwaseun Basil Alabi (OBA) foundation was officially established to serve the needs of the elderly, widows, orphans, physically challenged, and less privileged members of its local community.

One of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Rebecca Ajimoti, explained that she is in dire need of relief supplies because she lost her husband at a young age.

“Not only did I lose my husband at a young age, but I also misplaced my only child of 40 years. Because my husband has abandoned our four kids, I need to stock up on groceries. To the foundation, I express my deepest gratitude,” he added.
