Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and a member of the Peoples Democratic Party integrity governors has vowed that the group known as G5 will continue to stand for equity, fairness and justice for the benift of the poor masses.

Wike who spoke in Umuahia on Thursday during PDP 2023 general election campaign flag-off, urged Abians to follow governor Okezie Ikpeazu and ensure that all the PDP candidates for the 2023 general election are elected.

“The G-5 governors will continue to support all the candidates of the PDP in Abia State.

“There’s nothing like going back, do whatever Ikpeazu tells you to do. He is a man of integrity, honesty and he is dependable, unlike some people who we supported with money and yet they left the party”.

Speaking, governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State said the governors will not relent until Nigeria is rescued from insecurity, poverty, social and economic problems.

Other governors in attendance were Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu state and Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, all who canvased for support for PDP candidates in the state.

Ikpeazu, while thanking his colleague governors for their support, said his administration has left a blue print for further development of the state through the provision of a master plan for the state.

He added that Abia PDP can boast of the best candidates for all the elective offices in the 2023 general election, adding that other political parties in the state picked their candidates from the PDP’s dustin.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of the PDP flag to Ikpeazu who is running for the Abia south senatorial district seat and professor Uche Ikonne, the Abia PDP Governorship candidate..
