Nigeria is set to benefit from German born Tim Megafu who says his dream is to play for Nigeria if given the opportunity.
The 21- year old attacker whose father is a Nigerian from Anambra State but from a German mother told Daily Sunsports on telephone in smattering english that he decided to give Nigeria his allegiance because he believes it is the right thing to do.
“I want to play for Nigeria because it is a big dream for me to play for my country’s national team. Though, I was born in Germany and my mum is German, I want to make my father whose Nigerian happy. Every son wants to see his daddy happy and proud. And I also want to be part of the culture of my country and how things work there. I know the system in Germany but I don’t know it in Nigeria.
“My mum respects my opinion on this and is giving me all the support I can get on making this dream a reality. She likes it and she’ll be proud of me to go to Nigeria to see more and contribute to the national team of my father.”
Megafu, who is currently with SV Grohn started his football career at the E- Youth (U11) by BTS Neustadt in Bremen graduating to the C-Youth (U14) joining Brinkumer SV for the B Youth (U16) before getting into the men’s team that went to a Training Camp in the Turkey and played against VFL Wolfsburg of Germany and against 1461 Trabzon of Turkey.
