Toks Asher Young has urged Nigerian youths to think beyond “Social Media” when getting involved in politics. He said the youth need to take their activism and agitation outside social media and take up political roles if they want to effect lasting and real change in Nigeria.

He said the youths must get their permanent voters cards or belong to political parties as card carrying members so they can participate in “grassroots politics” in their respective wards and states.

“To deal with various problems arising daily in Nigeria, we all need to participate in politics because then nation needs every hand to be in deck and join in the restructuring of our country. We need a framework of community engagement that can only be achieved when retail politicking is started from the grassroots.” Young said.
