Growing up, Gino didn’t always run with the best crowds and he soon found himself caught up in drugs and gangs.
Even after turning his life around, Gino has always maintained the street connections, which many people said would spell his doom; however, it’s actually helped his business grow.
His company is a public relations and digital media firm catering to all kinds of clients. Even with minimal marketing efforts, Gino still attracts a sizeable client flow due to his networking skills. He managed to attract almost 200 clients within a short time after starting his business. There’s not a crowd that Gino can’t charm.
According to Gino, networking has been made much easier today since entrepreneurs have a ton of information at their disposal.
In addition to this, social media is an incredibly effective networking tool.
Gino lost 10 years of his life behind the bars for trafficking drugs.
However, he walked out a sober man, focused on rebuilding his life. He started by catering to his network of acquaintances and quickly understood how powerful networking is for any business.
Whether digital or traditional, networking still remains one of the best ways to grow any business. The bigger your network, the better it is for your business.
However, Gino cautions against networking for the sake of it.
“It is imperative that you create meaningful connections that will help you and your business.
“It is also crucial to remember that networking is a two-way street,” he said.
Gino is constantly referring his friends’ businesses to other people to increase their opportunities.
Gino also advocates for network marketing as it has built him up from an ex-con who was a struggling addict to an entrepreneur running a multimillion-dollar company. He is set on helping others like him get their second shot at life by starting a non-profit. He hopes to help ex-cons restart their lives by minimizing their chances of reoffending.
