For residents of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, it was fun all the way last weekend, as telecommunications company, Globacom, held its Glo Mega Music Nationwide Tour.

Held at Hub Event Centre and anchored by Nollywood stars, Uche Jombo and Juliet Ibrahim, with Patience Ozokwor aka Mama G, Kanayo O. Kanayo and Richard Mofe-Damijo making celebrity guest appearances, the show was the second of its kind in the city and it paraded six music stars.

The first act to mount the stage was hi-hop discovery, Uche Ikachukwu aka Katch, who was followed by Marvin Records’ Hadiza Blell known as Di’Ja.

Glo brand ambassador, Omawumi, took the show to the next level with her performance and she went a step further by rewarding one of her fans, Juliet Emubor, who danced to the Bonsue track with a pair of her expensive shoe, to the applause of the crowd.

Summing up her experience, one of the attendees, Mary Agoha, said: “This is the best of all the shows I have attended and the beauty of it is that it was free, and I thank Glo for making my day.”

The 27th edition of the show takes place in Ikorodu, Lagos tomorrow. Interested Globacom subscribers willing to attend are expected to have used up to N2,000 recharge cards for ether voice and or data and send SMS “MUSIC IKORODU” to a short code 207.
