Serie A giants AC Milan are reportedly set to challenge Juventus in the chase to sign Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin.

The Uruguayan has become one of the most consistent defenders over the last few years and had attracted interest from Manchester United this past summer.

He was close to signing a new deal back then a move to United was rejected by the defender.

Corriere dello Sport now state that Godin is yet to agree terms over a new deal with Atleti,with his current expiring in the summer of 2019.
