About 100 men and women golfers have converged on Ola Sa’ad International Golf Club, Jaji in Kaduna State for the 2022/2023 PGA of Nigeria Qualifying School (Q’School) seminar with the theme, “Career Path In Golf.”

The biennial ritual, holding from January today is to prepare prospective professional golfers for the next Qualifying School examination which comes up between June and July 2023.

Some topics for the four-day seminar to be handled by resource persons at the seminar include, “A Pro On Tour,” by Dominic Andrew focusing on maintaining high performance at tournaments; psychological and physical requirements in the classroom seminar.

Also for discussion is, “Self Development For Career Development In Golf,” to be handled by Navy Captain Joseph Shuaibu, focusing on training and retraining as a PGA of Nigeria golf professional.

Other topics are “Health Benefits of Golf” to be taken by Mike Alika, the General Manager, PGA of Nigeria and “Roles of a PGA Golf Professional,” by Jide Bolaji, Secretary, PGA of Nigeria.

Today is for the seminar as well as arrival and accreditation of participants while Thursday is the opening ceremony of the seminar, just as the resource persons will commence the classroom work with the delivery of their topics.

Friday and Saturday will witness playing rounds – the practical aspect of the seminar and the eventual closing programmes. of the event.

Recalled the rotatory PGA of Nigeria Qualifying School Seminar was last held at the Port Harcourt Golf Club in Rivers State for the 2020/2021.
