Gombe: Don’t get carried away by victory, chieftain tells APC candidates

Gombe state governor-elect, senators and other elected  candidates have been advised not to be carried away by victory, but to remember they were elected on the principles of accountability and transparency with a view to delivering the dividends of democracy, and, as such, they should plan to hit the ground running from May 29.

Ambassador Yarima Abdullahi, Nigeria’s former minister of education and also ex-representative of the country in Malaysia, who made the call, told Daily sun, in an interview, that the electorates have high hopes and expectations from the newly elected officials, because the four years under review had witnessed the bad and ugly sides of governance in the state, noting, especially the crippled socio-economic and political activities in the state.
