The Super Eagles B succumbed to a 3-2 defeat to Europa League champions, Atletico Madrid in an entertaining friendly at the Godwill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom Stadium on Tuesday.

Nwakali produced a moment to relish for a long period, as the youngster beat an Atletico player before unleashing a long-range curler past Oblak to hand his side a deserved lead.
Atletico responded a minute later through Correa with a wonderful strike to make it 1-1.
In the 43rd minute, the Super Eagles B should have retaken the lead only for Destiny Ashadi to miss an open net despite good play from Kadiri Samad.
Before the commencement of the second half, Atletico made five changes, with Fernando Torres among the players brought on.
Torres almost made an instant impact as he tried a long range effort which Thomas stopped from going in.
Atletico went close again on 55 minutes but they were denied by Thomas who stopped Gameiro’s effort following a pass from Machin Vitolo.
Atletico’s positive start to the second half eventually paid off as Torres headed in a cross on 64 minutes to put his side 2-1 up.
