JOHN ADAMS, MINNA
The incumbent governor of Niger State, Alhaji Abubakar, Sani Bello, of the APC is heading for a clear victory in the governorship election held in the state on Saturday, winning in all 16 out of the 16 local government areas whose results have so far been announced by various returning officers of the INEC in the state.
There are 25 local government areas in the state and results from the remaining nine local government areas are still being expected as at the time of filing this report.
The Saturday governorship election in the state which was characterized by open vote buying and ballot-box snatching also shows that the ruling APC is leading in all the state Assembly seats.
