Akwa Ibom Governor, Emmanuel Udom, has enjoined communities in the state to avoid communal clash over farmlands.

He gave the advice at the March edition of the Government House prayers held at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Uyo, urging the people to imbibe the age long communal coexistence rather than allowing trivial issues to severe their relationships.

The governor also used the occasion to thank God for the victories recorded in the just concluded elections and expressed appreciation to the fathers of faith and the Christian body under the aegis of the Akwa Ibom Christian Assembly for their support and prayers.

 This is as he applauded the royal fathers for their opposition to the use of mercenaries from other state to create violence during the elections, attributing the victory recorded by the PDP to the steadfastness of the people.

The governor disclosed that Ibom Air would soon commence flight operations to reduce the hardship being experienced by passengers traveling to other parts of the country.

Other highlight of the event was the birthday celebration of the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Barister Onofiok.
