There is no doubt that Governor Yahaya Bello of kogi state is a piece of amazement to many especially to issues that relate to youths and women empowerments in the state.

He has been in the vanguard of women economic and political emancipation, setting the pace in gender equality. And he has scored many firsts in this regard.

By his demonstrable abilities and commitments, Yahaya Bello in his over six years administration has given voice to many voiceless women, lifted many out of poverty and squalor and most importantly acts as inspirations and springboard in which many of these women gained prominence to show case their God given talents and ultimately fulfilled their destinies

For example, governor Bello on assuming office wasted no time in appointing a female Secretary to the State Government in person of Dr Folashade Arike Ayoade, a pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God who many regard as a bundle of talents

The governor is a man that has knack for excellence and does not care a hoot about your gender , tribe or religion, he is seen as a most detribalized political leader in the country.

Of the six tertiary institutions in the state, two are been headed by women with the kogi state university Ayingba for the first time since it’s creation, now headed by a female Vice Chancellor, Prof Mariatu Ohunene Tenuche while the College of Education technical, kabba is also been headed by a renown educationist, Dr Victoria Ajagboro.

Both of them are marvelously doing well in their various institutions as both have attested in various fora that the feats they attained couldn’t have been possible without the support of the governor
