Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has lauded the Chairman of Southeast Governors Forum and the Governor of Ebonyi state, Engr Dave Umahi, on his bravery to stand up with the Igbo verdict against donations of lands for ranching, grazing reserves, and Ruga in the southeast especially in his state.
Ebonyi State Government had continually announced that no land within the state will be ceded for ranching and grazing reserves.
In a statement, Secretary -General Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro said it was alarmed by the news of inducements and compromise and had to investigate the allegations that Ebonyi State allegedly accepted huge amount of money as inducement for donations of Ebonyi lands for Ranching, and our findings show that ” there is no evidence that Ebonyi State received directly or indirectly, any amount of money to surrender any inch of its land for ranching, as this was a well-scripted fallacy and false information meant to mislead Ndigbo and stain Ebonyi State Governor as the number one Enemy of Ndigbo.
“We are too sophisticated to be hoodwinked by detractor s as Governor Umahi is the shining light of Southeast and will never betray his people.
“Grazing reserves or Ranching will never thrive or sprout in southeastern Nigeria as no Igbo Governor will succumb to the campaign of calumny by detractors of Ndigbo to cede lands for Grazing reserve, on this note, ” Nigerians and Ndigbo should disregard the proclamations spread out by fifth columnists over the collection of #6bn by Ebonyi state government to kick-start Ranching in Ebonyi state, as its a subterfuge, gimmick, and fake news “
